Lena Jock Mohawk Wolf Clan artist Lena Jock (aka Lena Lamb) was born to Leola (Burton) Jock and Jake Jock in 1947. Lena resided on the Mohawk reservation of Akwesasne until age 29. In the early 1970s she began working for the Indian Education program in Syracuse, a position that sparked an interest in the cultural arts. More than 20 years later, Lena is still producing beadwork and no-face rag dolls. She has also taught beadwork classes. Her work is in the collections of the Iroquois Museum (Howes Cave, NY); the Shakowi Center (Oneida, NY) and the Turning Stone Casino (Oneida, NY). *Bio text cannot be used in print or web publications without IM permission.
